The Man behind Underground City & Cohesion Birmingham formally Cyber Sounds:
Cyber Sounds was were it all started as a group of new age travelers living on site pulling off rave’s in the early nineties. You can only survive for so long before the plod force you to stop. And thats how cohesion was formed as a benefit for a cyber sounds party that had been busted.
Cohesion was were Steve was recognized as a dj & producer setting up labels Coh. UK Recordings & Snap n Crackle.
Watch out as Snap n Crackle is being relaunched in the next month with new & old releases going out digitally!! Artists like Dynamic Intervention, Acid Ted etc already confirmed!!
The Underground City concept was born early 2005, when 3 promoters (Cyber Steve, Mr Burns & Samas) came together as one unit to promote bigger scale parties - with an underground vibe in mind.
On 25th March 2005, the first Underground City went off with a bang (quite literally - the immense bass from the D&B room caused £2000 damage to a nearby shop!) and set the standard that was to follow, featuring headline acts: The Geezer, Sol Ray, Acid Ted, Subfocus, Danny Wheeler, Rascal & Klone, Jon Gurd, Sean Rudz and many more. Running bi-monthly UC has held host to many of each scene's most respected DJs and producers, pushing boundaries and keeping underground.

The Dirty House sound that’s Killing All System Rules (K.A.S.R.) Upfront twisted house music, an up and coming new outfit ready to deliver some extreme House music. The Duo Steve Lewis and Justin Bygrave are based at the Earjuice studio’s in Leamington Spa a retro fitted studio using all the old analogue ways and means. Back to the likes of the 101’s and the ms 10’s it’s time to have it large!! With a few release’s under there belt on Loverush UK & musictrax it time for them to show what they can really achieve with the likes of Zirenz media records taking them under there wing it’s full steam ahead. In the next few months they will also be setting up there new record label ‘Hungry House’ with some real cheeky numbers so look out. www.myspace.com/hungryhouserecords Steve Lewis has been in the dance scene for the last 15 years starting off in the early ninties in Holland & the UK playing old skool hard core and early techno with the likes of free party sound systems E-motion, Sound Syndicate, Cyber sounds etc. He is the co founder of the we’ll known ‘Cohesion’ club night at Subway City in Birmingham and soon became a well renowned dj and producer in the acid techno scene with labels Co.Uk Recordings and Snap n Crackle. Cohesion then merged with Skankedic creating Underground City using the amazing club the Custard Factory. It has taken years for Steve to understand the depths of house music to it full degree having always being influenced by techno music. Justin Bygrave ex vocalist and musician from the Band Smoke Like a Fish the band have toured all over the u.k, Ireland and Europe, they’ve made regular radio and TV appearances and are largely renowned on the Ska scene. Justin is a key musical member playing live guitar and bass We hope you will join us in killing all system rules. K.A.S.R.
